Zabalaza is a group of young children and four adults from the Community Development Project for underprivileged, orphaned, abused and neglected children Indawo Yentsikelelo in Cape Town (South Africa). The group was founded in January 2007 with the idea to go overseas to raise awareness and money for the project. Zabalaza toured Germany, England, Switzerland and Austria with their powerful show “Songs of Hope”, receiving rave reviews and standing ovations from the more than 12.000 people who saw them perform.

This DVD captures their stunningly beautiful, emotionally moving and thought provoking performance. With their powerful drumming rhythms, joyful dance and ancient traditional songs coming straight from their hearts, the young performers take you on a breathtaking journey through the contrast of pain, beauty, sadness and hope that is their lives. A truly special performance!

The DVD is bilingual with subtitles in English and German.
